kevan hoertdoerfer architects is an architecture practice dedicated to the craft & art of making places and their relationship to the individual. the firm has experience in all building types and blends a unique background of architecture, ecology, construction, education, and craftsmanship to each project.
a practice premised on the belief that the power of architecture lies in its ability to enrich the lives of its inhabitants.
we approach each project balancing climate, lifestyles, styles and cost; and assemble an expert team to augment our services. We do not believe that any one style is appropriate to every building and every place. We do believe in the continuity of tradition and strive in our work to create order out of the often chaotic present by entering into a dialogue with the past and with the spirit of the places in which we build.
kevan hoertdoerfer founded Kevan Hoertdoerfer Architects in 2003. Our design approach is different than other architects. This will manifest itself in a variety of ways: in our process of design, our knowledge of building and our approach to the construction, and our craftsmanship in detailing.
